The MathMods Consortium, established in 2008, is coordinated by the
- University of L'Aquila in Italy (UAQ)
and currently involves the below-listed institutions in Europe, acting as Full Partners:
- University of Hamburg in Germany (UHH),
- University of Côte d'Azur in Nice - France (UniCA),
- Leibniz University Hannover (LUH),
- University of Granada (UGR),
The MathMods Consortium can also rely on the effective support of several companies, research institutes and non-profit organisations in different aspects of the project.
In the three cohorts 2018, 2019 and 2020, the MathMods Consortium has also involved, as a Full Partner:
- Vienna University of Technology in Austria (TUW)
Over the ten editions (2008-2017) funded through the Erasmus Mundus programme, the MathMods Consortium also involved, as Full Partners, the following institutions:
- the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain (UAB)
- the Gdansk University of Technology in Poland (GUT).
The geographical profile of the consortium covers South and Central Europe, bringing an air of diversity that contributes to the complementarity in the cultural aspects, in the teaching tradition, and in the expertise topics. The departments involved have a common topic in the key expression "application of mathematics", but from quite different perspectives. We believe that we have found in this partnership an interesting equilibrium between theory, computation, and application of the science and art of abstract modelling of real phenomena.
